Critical Reflection: Students were excited about the computers and on-task the whole time. Students struggled a little with the Peer Review Rubric and as such I have changed the design of the rubric in two ways: 1. I have moved the A-E responses the other way around so students do not automatically tick the A - Excellent box but are required to read across all grades to select the correct grade. 2. I have placed descriptors in each area of the rubric as a guide to help students - as I noticed students seemed unclear if they were to tick, mark, circle or highlight different boxes to mark the grade. Time is a factor in this lesson - students need to be motivated to move through each step quickly so their partner can have a turn and both do peer review. Clear step-by-step instructions need to be written on the board. |
